How to change default media player on XP?

I want to change it to VLC..Just don't know how to.How to change default media player on XP?
This is a file association issue. Easy fix:



1 - Open a music folder

2 - Right-click any MP3 or WMA file

3 - Go to, Open With in the menu and choose the Choose Program option at the bottom of the next menu

4 - Browse to the VLC player and click it

5 - Place a check in the box below the list that says: ';Always use the selected program... ';

6 - Click OK



Done!
