Am using Firefox browser with XP Pro,and want to change default email from Outlook to Yahoo email. How?

Can't seem to change it in IE, either. I just don't like Outlook, and Yahoo is my only mail account.Am using Firefox browser with XP Pro,and want to change default email from Outlook to Yahoo email. How?
Clicking on mail links on web sites or programs will transfer control to your default email application (Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird, etc). In order to use Yahoo Mail as the default email application you must install Yahoo Messenger. It then allows the Messenger program to be the interface to Yahoo Mail. You must then go to internet options and select it as the default.
